Workshop

We are excited to be offering a free workshop for TXRF users on the 8th of September, one day before the conference begins. This workshop will be organized by Bruker and the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Jan Kochanowski University (co-financed by the Minister of Science (Poland) under the "Regional Excellence Initiative" program (project no.: RID/SP/0015/2024/01)).

Workshop attendees will be broken into small groups and be given the opportunity to participate in a series of hands-on, lab-based sessions and talks on TXRF analysis. These sessions will include:

Sample preparation, tips & tricks

What are the major challenges preparing different sample types for TXRF. During this session you will learn many tips and trick to improve the quality of your analysis.

Presentation new Aerosol package

Air quality is getting more and more awareness globally. Bruker proudly presents a complete package for sampling airborne particulate matter directly on TXRF discs for immediate measurement of the metal content. The content and function of the T-AERO package in combination with a subsequent TXRF measurement will be presented in detail.

Software and Q&A

The functionality and ease-of-use of analytical software is probably the most important point for the user of spectrometers. During this session news and special functions will be presented. In addition, questions to any software-related topic will be discussed.

Presentation of preparation devices

Since sample preparation is prerequisite for a successful TXRF analysis, two companies will present their devices (microwave digestion system and homogenizer).

Coffee breaks will be provided by Bruker.

Workshop materials and lunch will be provided by the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Jan Kochanowski University (co-financed by the Minister of Science (Poland) under the "Regional Excellence Initiative" program (project no.: RID/SP/0015/2024/01)).

Following the workshop, we will be taking part in the conference’s TXRF 2025 official **welcome reception**
